The peeled shrimp can be cooked from frozen or thawed for maximum tenderness. They hold up well to any cooking method including grilling, sautéing, baking, or simmering in curries or stews. Absorbent yet delicate, they pair beautifully with spices like cumin, turmeric and cardamom.
How to prepare it:
peeled and deveined shrimp
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon wedges, for serving
Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium high heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Add shrimp and season with paprika, cayenne (if using), salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes, flipping halfway, until shrimp turn pink.
Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
Serve shrimp warm with lemon wedges for squeezing fresh juice over top. Enjoy as is or in tacos, over salad, with pasta or rice.
