Shrimp provide high-quality protein and are rich in selenium, vitamin B12, niacin and astaxanthin antioxidants. They offer health benefits like supporting heart health, immunity, bone strength, and healthy aging.
How to prepare :
large shrimp, tail on
3 tbsp olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp paprika
Juice of 1 lemon
Chopped parsley for garnish
Salt and pepper to taste
Rinse shrimp under cold water and pat dry. Leave tails intact.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium high heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
Add shrimp and season with paprika, cayenne (if using), salt and pepper. Sauté for 2-3 minutes per side until shrimp turn pink.
Turn heat to low and add lemon juice, stirring to coat shrimp.
Remove from heat. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Serve shrimp warm with cooked rice, pasta or salad. Can also be used in tacos, sandwiches or seafood platters.
